On His Golden Jubilee
Hrithik Roshan is son of actor-director Rakesh Roshan & paternal grandson of music composer Roshan Nagrath known for hits like- Barsaat Ki Raat, Dil Hi To Hai & Taj Mahal. He made his film debut with “Kaho Na Pyaar Hai” directed by Dad Rakesh Roshan starring Ameesha Patel & Anupam Kher. The film was declared super hit at the Box office earning him Filmfare Awards for Best Actor and Best Male Debut. It was followed by “Fiza” and “Mission Kashmir” in the same year elevating the youngster to a Star status. “Khushi Kabhie Gham” (2001) did the rest as it was declared a blockbuster also featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan & Kajol.

In between he featured in “Krrish” (2006) alongside Priyanka Chopra & Rekha & “Dhoom 2” opposite Aishwarya Rai Both doing wonders at the Box Office. The film was shot at various foreign locations including picturesque ‘Rio de Janeiro’ in Brazil. Its earlier part “Dhoom”, sans Hrithik Roshan, was also a blockbuster. His “Om Shanti Om” (2007) & “Jodhaa Akbar” featuring Aishwarya Rai as Jodhaa Bai (2008) were also hits. He also featured in “Agneepath” (2012) & “Kaabil” (2017) both declared superhits.
The success and demand of the actor can well be gauged by the fact that he was paid a whopping sum of 50 crores for his role in “Mohenjo Daro” (2016). “Fighter” & “War 2” are his forthcoming movies.
