There is no pucity of young, nubile , well endowed, vivacious and sensationally amazing lasses or starlets in the race for stardom.There are hundreds of girls down South ,vying for a berth in the films, and to bewitch and beguile the audience .Interestingly, some of these upcoming girls are too aspiring to make it big, the sooner the better. Some, however, believe in ‘stop, look & go’ policy.

There is no denying the fact that there is a great deal of cross pollination, today, between the movies & the fashion world. Models act, actresses( and actor, too, for the matter of that) model. Movies promote new trends in designs and fashion magazines and television give exceptional attention & treatment to movie makers and cinema stars. And on top of it, the top brass in both these worlds seem to work together in ways that concern only themselves.

Earlier we had Zeenat Aman, Leena Das, Swaroop Sampat, Kimi Katkar, Kalpana Iyer, Aarti Gupta, Tina Munim (now Tina Ambani) ,Swapna and many others who made it to films via modelling. We have now aplenty. Some of these starlets have achieved the first part of their long cherished dreams & have begun to realize the latter part of their fantasy( achieving stardom)-to the summit of stardom -in right earnest.
