On His Death Anniversary

Vikram Gokhale, who won National Film Award for Best actor for his role in ‘Anumati'( 2013), belonged to a family with its roots in stage & cinema. His father & grandmother both were associated with Marathi films. Though he featured in several films enacting side roles, he hit the limelight with TV serial- ‘Udaan'(1989-1991) & ‘Sanjivani'(2002-05) respectively.

‘ Swarag Narak’ (1978), ‘Eashwar’ & ‘Elaan-E-Jung, (1989) ‘Laadla’ (1994), & ‘Rang Rasiya’ (2008) include his prominent films. The actor worked alongside Amitabh Bchchan in ‘Akayla’ (1991) & ‘Khuda Gawah’ (1992) .

He was reportedly on ventilator before he Breathed his last this day in Pune in 2022, then aged 77.
