Samantha Ruth Prabhu is a well known actress who has featured in several Tamil & Telugu films. Samantha was married to the son of a famous south Indian actor. Her husband, too, enjoyed an illustrious career. As it commonly happens in Indian families, the daughter-in-law is not given much freedom. Samantha must have undergone the same predicament & was presumably struggling to get out of the familial shams and restrictions thereby making her finally decide to divorce her husband and start a new life. On attaining freedom, Samantha started accepting glamorous roles. She appeared in the ‘The Family Man series’, playing a terrorist. She caught the fancy of the cine-goers before late. Her role was highly appreciated & Paid rich dividend.

The actress is now appearing in the Indian version of popular American series “Citadel” featuring Priyanka Chopra & Richard Madden as the lead pair. The Indian series titled ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ is likely to hit the screen in early November. Directed by Raj & Krishna D.K., it stars Varun Dhawan, Samantha, Emma Canning, Sikandar Kher, Stasa Nikolic & Simran.

Recipient of several accolades, including two Nandi Awards, & four Filmfare Awards South, San Samantha started her career as a model, albeit brief, before switching over to films. Holds a degree in commerce. “Dookudu’ starring Mahesh Babu, Samantha & Prakash Raj and ‘Mahanati’ (2018) include two of her most successful films. She has reportedly learnt Hindi and is now significantly proficient in the the language resulting her casting in the series under reference.
