Grace Kelly, one of the most gorgeous and sought after actresses of Hollywood began her film career in the early 1950s working with almost all the leading superstars like Carry Grant, Frank Sinatra, Mickey Rooney, Bing Crosby , Alec Guinness and Paul Douglas to name only some. She won Golden globe award for her role in “Mogambo” (1953) starring Clarke Gable and Ava Gardner. She won an academy award for Best Actresses in “The Country Girl ” (1954) for her non glamourous role of a married woman and wife of an alcoholic named Frank played by Bing Crosby. She plays Georgie Elgin, love interest of actor William Holden in the film. The film won several accolades including Two Academy Awards.

In the prime of her film career she married Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1956. Blessed with three children Princess Caroline , Albert II and Princess Stephanie . I exchanged several letters with Prince Albert II in mid 1990s.

‘Rear Window’ (1954) and ‘To Catch a Thief’ (1955) are her other mentionable movies, the former being a Blockbuster starring James Stewart, Grace Kelly, Wendell Core & Thelma Ritter.

A fashion icon & inspiration Grace Kelly died in a traffic collision on 14 September in 1982. Her funeral was attended by 400 celebrities including Hollywood greats like Carry Grant, Diana, Princess of Wales, Nancy Reagan & Empress Farah of Iran.
