Padma Chavan born on 7 July 1944 in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India was an actress, known for her coquettish looks. She was alluring in ways many. Featured in several films like – ‘Suhag Sindoor’ (1961), ‘Bin Badal Barsaat’ (1963) , ‘Kashmir Ki Kali’ (1964), ‘Adhi Raat Ke Baad ‘(1965), ‘Sher Dil’ (1965), ‘Daku Mangal Singh’ (1966) , ‘Naram Garam’ (1981) & ‘Daulat’ (1982) ‘Angoor’ , ‘Jeevan Dhaara’ & ‘Dulha Bikta Hai’ (1982) to name some. Known as Marilyn Monroe of Maharashtra for her outstanding contribution in Marathi films & TV, the actress made her debut with ‘Akashganga’ (1959) opposite Ramesh Deo. Died 12 September 1996.

-Ranjan was a well know actor who featured in Hindi films in the 1960s. Most of his films were stunt films with swordplay as his favorite act. He also worked in films down South. ‘Ashok Kumar’ (1941) was his Tamil film highlighting Mauryan emperor Ashoka & his son. I had seen some of his films like ‘Madari’ (1959) & ‘Sarfarosh’ (1965) as an actor. A singer and dancer in his own right Ranjan died Died of cardiac arrest in America on 12 September in 1983.
