Khushbu is an Indian actress who has predominantly appeared in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada & Malayalam films. The actress, however, started doing Hindi films as a child artist starting with star studded “The Burning Train” (1980), “Thodi Si Bewafai” (1980) followed by similar roles in “Laawaris” (1981), “Kaalia”, “Naseeb”, “Dard ka Rishta”, “Bemisaal” & “Raastey Pyar Ke”(1982). “Tan Badan” opposite Govinda was her debut Hindi film as lead. She also appeard in “Meri Jung” starring Anil Kapoor & Madhuri Dixit. She also did few other Hindi films.

The actress who reportedly worked in more than 200 films, mostly from down South, became close to Jayalalitha when she started anchoring ‘Jackpot’, the first South Indian game show on Jaya TV.

Khushboo who made her Tamil debut with ‘Dharmathin Thalaivan’ & also ‘Kizhakku Vasal’ & ‘Chinna Thambi’, rose to immence popularity . She is also the first actress to have a temple built in her name. The temple in ‘Trichy’ was later demolished following her controversial remarks on premarital sex. She is married & is active in politics. She had joined BJP and contested the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly polls but was defeated.
