If “Ishtam” (2001) was Shriya Saran’s debut Telugu film,it was “Santosham”( 2002) that brought her into limelight. Her debut Hindi film was “Tujhe Meri Kasam”, starring Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia. Directed Mohit Suri cast her in Mahesh Bhatt’s “Awarapan” ( 2007) followed by “Mission Istanbul”, an action thriller featuring Vivek Oberoi, Shriya Saran and Zayed Khan. She worked opposite Rajinikanth in “Sivaji: The Boss” ( 2007)which created box office history. The film grossed 205 crore on box office. It was directed by S. Shankar & produced by AVM Productions. The film won National Film Award including several Filmfare Awards( South) in different categories.

Born 11 September 1982 at Haridwar to Pushpendra Saran Bhatnagar and Neeraja Saran Bhatnagar,Shriya Saran remembers her time on the sets of RRR and shares how it was SS Rajamouli’s belief that made the film reach the Oscars.She played a small riole in the film.
She also featured in a thriller drama “Drishyam” (2015) starring Ajay Devgn & Tabu.
