Vidya Balan is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Hindi films. The 5 feet 4 inch tall actress measure 34-25-35. Though an aspiring actress luck did not come her way as she struggled to work in television commercials and music videos before dame luck begin to smile at her slowly though steadily.

The actress who first featured in 1995 Teleserial “Hum Paanch” (1995-1999) later worked in ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ (2006) and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007)’, but her career failed to take off as desired until she decided to do something offbeat in films like “Pa”(2009) followed by “Ishqiya”(2010) & the South sex siren Silk Smitha’s biopic “The Dirty Picture”(2011) to make cinegoers & critics accept her versatility. Resultantly, the actress was bestowed with the National Film Award for Best Actress. The film received several nominations including two other Filmfare Awards.
Born 1 January 1979 the actress married producer Siddharth Roy Kapur in 2012. Bestowed with Padma Shri & seven Filmfare Awards for her outstanding work.
