With the success of some of the Indian babes at various International Beauty Pageants beginning with Sushmita Sen & Aishwarya Rai, the Cannes, a city situated on the French Riviera, seems to have become a hub for aspiring Indian actresses & models. The Indian film contingent was the largest to attend the 76th Cannes Film Festival held this year comprising of Aishwarya Rai, Mouni Roy, Manushi Chillar, Mrunal Thakur, Urvashi Rautela, Diana Penty, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sara Ali Khan & Esha Gupta to bewitch the viewers & delegates at Cannes 2023 extravaganza. The 76th Annual Cannes Film Festival was held between 16 to 27 May 2023. French film ‘Anatomy of a Fall’, a thiller directed by Justine Triet won the Palme d’Or. Movies shown at the festival are ushered in or followed by larger-than-life-sized parties. There is always a mad scrumble for invitations. There are other, even wilder, private shindigs given by studios & the producers to publicize a picture or star. Pinching stars & starlets has become a popular festival game & pinching bikinis right off starlets is becoming a more daring caper.

A starlet named June Jarvis had her bikini ripped off her behind-to the obvious delight of everyone ( including, in all probability, the starlet herself).Natalie Nattier,another starlet, also had her bikini ripped off by photographers who wanted to see whether she was a natural platinum blonde or not as claimed by her.Other aspiring starlets do even zanier things to get a bit of publicity during the festival (like promoting sartorial or cosmetics products in their birthday suits).
