The word ‘Father’ reminds us love, respect, care, shelter, support, sacrifices, and many more. Only those know the pain who doesn’t have the father. Remembering dad on his death anniversary is a great agony and this feeling can’t be described in words. A son or daughter always prays that he may rest in peace. On the death anniversary of the father, his son and daughter feel very empty and remembers him with emotion.
It is not a time to mourn. It’s time to look back and remember all the good things in life he did for us. It’s time to continue the legacy of a great man that our father was. An eminent writer, a linguist, banker, whom many a business magnate and eminent persons approached for help the likes of JRD Tata, Birla, Singhania, Homi Bhabha, Sumitra Nandan Pant, Firaq Gorkhpuri and even Jyoti Basu who personally requested him to employ two person in SBI in 1968 during the Rotary Club International Seminar at Jim Corbett National Park ,a forested wildlife sanctuary in Nainital district, now in Uttrakhand.
My wife, as usual, did the daily rituals also preparing lunch & buying some food items like milk, sugar, fruits to be given at the local Gurudwara in the morning. It was followed by lunch served to some of our neighbours, presser or ‘presswala’, maids and others.
