The ‘Bhog Ceremony’ of late singer Sidhu Moose Wala took place at Mansa on Wednesday with huge crowd gathering to pay their respect to the deceased singer. It appeared like a flood of humanity converging on the site from Punjab & neighboring states, indicative of his popularity in the region and also worldwide as people in the entertainment world sent messages condemning his death.

Interestingly, never before in the state or country’s history has people witnessed such a huge gathering on the ‘bhog ceremony'(Antim Ardas) of someone related to Music industry. Even in the case of top Bollywood stars like Sridevi & Rajesh Khanna, few thousand followed the procession, most of whom had come to see their matinee idols. It indeed was unbelieable. The father of the deceased singer requested the public not to be swayed away with false news items. He assured that he would personally appear live if something substantive comes into light. The currnt Aap government won 66 out of 69 sets from this area,it is worth mentioning.
Moose Wala loved his fields and farm, resultantly he was cremated in hisn farm and his ‘antim ardas’ took plce in the Mansa grain market. The SGPC made arrangements for langar of 2.5 lakh people. The roads leading to the site had ‘chabeels’ ( sweetened water) to provide relief to the visiting crowd in the scorching heat of June.
