Born on 8 September 1954 in Kashmir, Satish Kaul featured in many Punjabi & Hindi films between 1970s & 1990s starting with Ved Rahi’s “Prem Parbat” in 1973,also starring Nana Palsikar Indrani Mukherjee & Rehana Sultan in special apperance. He also worked in Dev Anand’s 1970 movie “Prem Pujari” also starring Waheeda Rehman ,Prem Chopra & Zaheeda.

In 1986 he featured in “Karma”,Ilzaam” & “Love 86″.His Punjabi film ‘Yaar Garibaan Da” was also released the same year. The actor earlier appeard in “Warrant”,”Kasam” & “Alibaba”.”Aag Hi Aag’,”Commando” , “Pyaar Ka Mandir” “Khel”, “Elaan” , ‘Yaraana”, “Ram Lakhan”, “Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha” and “Aunty No 1”, were his other noted films.The actor though did more Hindi films than Pujabi,he was believed to be predominantly a Punjabi actor.

Maula Jatt, Sassi Punnu, Ishq Nimana, Suhag Chooda and Patola,Jag Wala Mela,Suhag Chooda,Dhee Rani & Sheran De Putt Sher, (1990) were his noted Punjabi films.

The actor, Born 8 September 1946 in Kashmir, after parting ways with his wife, tried to run an ‘Acting School’ unsuccessfully incurring a sizeable loss that ended his career. He spent his last days in penury. A simple sans any ‘nakhra’ type actor also featured in “Mahabharat” playing Lord Indra. Though he was helped by the local agencies, the actor passed away at the age of 74 last year on this day.
