Huma Qureshi, the loveliness personified cutie from New Delhi made inroads into Bollywood simultaneously appearing in Hindi, Tamil & Marathi films making her film debut with a supporting role in a crime drama Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ also featuring Manoj Bajpayee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Richa Chadda and Reema Sen. The film opened with positive reviews adding to her popularity. A Samsung mobile advertisement provided her the opportunity to be a part of the film. The film received a couple of nominations ,too. She made her Marathi debut with “Mahalakshmi” In 2016. She also appeared in ‘Dedh Ishqiya ‘(2014), ‘Badlapur’ (2015) & ‘Jolly LLB 2′(2017). In between she remained in the limelight for reasons many .
The actress again hit the headline when she was cast in the lead in “Mithya”, an Indian adaptation of British television series featuring Katherine Kelly and Molly Windsor. The story revolves round revolves round a relationship between a teacher & her rich student played by Huma Qureshi & Avantika Dassani, who do not look eye to eye with each other , leading to dangerous consequences including a murder. The teacher accuses her student of stealing her literary work as her own. Resulting into bad blood leading to revenge. The actress received positive reviews from various quarters.
