Bhumi Pednekar who made her presence felt in romantic drama “Dum Laga Ke Haisha” produced under the banner Yash Raj Films (2015) playing a bride to win the Filmfare Award for Best Female on Debut, later added another feather in her cap with the successful run of “Shubh Mangal Saavdhan” (2017) , opposite Chandigarh lad Ayushmann Khurrana, also receiving Best Actress Nomination. She received respect & praise for her performance in “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha” , though the film received mixed reactions from critics. Some of the cine goers praised her as a ‘shining nay promising actress’. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh ,it also starred Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher & Sudhir Pandey.
“Bala” (2019) , “Pati Patni Aur Woh” (2019), and crime drama “Sonchiriya” (2019),story in the backdrop of dacoits infested Chambal valley featuring Sushant Singh Rajput, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey & Bhumi as Indumati Tomar. The film received positive reviews from different quarters.
It would be injustice,if we did not mention Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar directed movie “Lust Stories” comprising of four sex-oriented tales with an ensemble cast featuring Kiara Advani, Vicky Kaushal, Radhika Apte, Bhumi Pednekar, Manisha Koirala, Neil Bhoopalam & Neha Dhupia to mention some.
“Saand Ki Aankh” (2019) starring Taapsee Pannu BhumiPednekar & Prakash Jha also received thumping comments. Priyanka Sinha Jha of CNN-News18, praising Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar for ‘Eendearing’ performances, rates the film with three and half stars out of five . “What sets apart ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ is that director Tushar Hiranandani frames the issues of patriarchy and gender discrimination within the structure of a family drama which is heart-wrenching and triumphant in equal measure.” she asserts. Concluding, she opined, that the simple storytelling, with good background score and suitable production design the film has hit the bullseye.
Bhumi who recently completed shooting of his film “Raksha Bandhan” in New Delhi ,was all praise for co-star Akshay Kumar.Directed by Aanand L. Rai it also fetures Sahejmeen Kaur ,Deepika Khanna & Sadia Khatee in supporting roles.
Bhumi who stands 5 foot 4, weighs 34-28-36 & weighs 60kg holds a degree in Commerce. “Raja Hindustani” is her favourite film and Shah Rukh Khan & Priyanka Chopra her choicest stars. She is fond of Dal Makhni, Butter Chicken and Chocolates.
Born 18 July 1989,she is a voluptuousness personified cutie and like many others of the current genre, she too believes in revealing to bewitch the onlookers sans any hang ups. She had recently done a mouth watering photo shoot with low cleavage in yellow lehenga top.
