Vedhika, the lovely actress though debuted with “Madrasi” (2006)took years to taste stardom with Tamil film “Paradesi” (2013) starring Atharvaa, Dhansika & Vedhika herself.
Her role was appreciated though the film received mixed reviews. It was declared a succesful film winning many awards including Filmfare Awards South in three categories-Best Director ( Bala), Best Actor ( Atharvaa) & Best Supporting Actress( Sai Dhanshika).
Interestingly,though most of her films bombed at the Box office,neverthless,the starlet showed no sign of apparent fatigue or defeat & went on to sign fresh assignments, appearing on social media at regular intervals to prove she was very much there and in the race & demand ,too.
“Ruler” (2019), was another of her Telugu action film featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna, Vedhika, Sonal Chauhan , RajSayaji Shinde & Bhumika Chawla, though shot at Ramoji Film City & lovey locations in Bangkok , failed to draw crowd as was expected. Y. Sunita Chowdary of The Hindu described the film as purely hero-oriented with nothing much for the female lead.
Though the starlet appeared predominantly featured in Tamil, Telugu & Malayalam & Kannada movies, she also ventured to do a Hindi film starring Rishi Kapoor, Emraan Hashmi, and Sobhita Dhulipala titled “The Body” (2019).
Vedhika ,Born 21 Februry 1988, at Solapur holds a Degree in BBA. She stands 5 foot 5 ,weighs 50 kg with a svelte 32-26-32 figure to boast. Amitabh Bachchan & Rajnikant are her favourite stars. Her hobbies include travelling, reading & dancing. Japan is her hot favourite destination. Likes Mughal-E-Azam & Sadma. Fond of Chinese Cuisines and Biryani. Born in a Hindu Kannada family.
Her accolades include Edison Award for Best Performance in “Paradesi” & Norway Tamil Film Festival Awards for “Kaaviya Thalaivan” (2015).
