The whole of India, including many other countries around the world,today are Celebrating ‘Diwali’- A Festival of joy, festivities, lights, crackers and sweets .While we live in a country which sees festivals and celebrations all year round, Diwali is one of the most important and eagerly awaited festivals.
Diwali brings all communities together and marks the victory of good over evil.
The festival of lights, Diwali, begins with ‘Dhanteras’ followed by ‘Choti Diwali’. For Sikhs, Diwali has special significance for the Sikhs celebrate the event on the release of 52 warriors and the 6th Guru Hargobindji whom Emperor Jahangir had imprisoned. For the Hindus it is return of Mata Sita & Rama back to their Kingdom.
Diwali is also being celebrated in many other countries with a sizeable Indian population .In USA on this Diwali special function are going to be held. Many Indians are also holding key posts in the current American Government.
