Aditi Rao Hydari, known actress cum singer, was born to Ehsaan Hydari & Vidya Rao in Hyderabad. She is known for her role in 2018 epic “Padmavat” (2018) produced & dircted by Sanjay Leela Bhansali starring Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone. The film was based on a story by 5th century sufi poet Malik Mohd Jayasi . She plays Mehrunisa, the beautiful first wife of Alauddin Khilji and Queen of the Delhi Sultanate .Khilji ruled Delhi towards the end of the 13th century .It was declared a hit collecting more than 500 crore at the box office.

She also appeared in Imtiaz Ali’s “Rockstar” (2011)starring Ranbir Kapoor, Nargis Fakhri & Shammi Kapoor. The loveliness personified actress, however, fashioned her entry into films through a Tamil movie ‘Sringaram’ in 2007,playing a ‘devdasi’. She also did Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films.

Hydari was recently seen in “Sardar ka Grabdson” a cross-border saga of love -starring John Abrahm, Neena Gupta, Arjun Kapoor & Rakul Preet Singh. Aditi Rao Hydari did a cameo as Young Swanmeet “Sardar” Kaur Singh .

“Wazir” (2016) a well written thriller starring Amitabh Bachchan & Farhan Akhtar & “Bhoomi” ( 2017)with Sanjay Dutt are her other mentionable films.
