Rakul Preet Singh is a film actress and model working predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada films. Rakul started modelling career while in college, during which she also made her acting debut in the Kannada film “Gilli” (2009). She made her Telugu debut in “Keratam” in 2011 and her Tamil debut in “Thadaiyara Thaakka” in 2012. In 2014 she also made her Bollywood debut in “Yaariyan”. She was part of the commercially successful Telugu films like ‘Venkatadri Express’ (2013), ‘Current Theega’ (2014) , ‘Loukyam’ (2014) and films like ‘Kick 2’ (2015), ‘Bruce Lee’ (2015), ‘Nannaku Prematho’ (2016), ‘Sarrainodu’ (2016) and ‘Dhruva’
(2016).
“Jaya Janaki Nayaka”(2019) starring Bellamkonda Srinivas, Rakul Preet Singh & Vani Vishwanath was her action film . The story of the film revolves round a college student Gagan who feets another student, a girl named Sweety (Rakul Preet Singh) in college. They fall in love & decide to get married.Sweety’s father Jaypee disapproves of this relationship.The film received mixed reactions and got 3/5 rating. “Shimla Mirchi” ( 2020) & “Sardar Ka Grandson” were her last two Hindi films.
Her favourite actors include shah Rukh Khan & Deepika Padukone. Dancing ,Golf & Swimming are some of her hobbies. Her remuneration is between 8 to 15 million Indian rupee per film. Rakul who stands 5 foot 7 and weighs 57kg was also part of Femina ‘Miss India-2011’ pageant & won four titles like Miss Beautiful Eyes & Miss Fresh Face. Born October 10, 1990 in New Delhi. Tamil actor Rana Dugubati and Jackky Bhagnani have been her friends.
