Indian Hockey team defeated Germany 5-4 to clinch Bronze on Thursday at Tokyo 2021 Olympics. India won first Hockey Gold at 1928 Amsterdam Olympic Games followed by a Gold each at Los Angeles 1932, Berlin 1936 ,London 1948, Helsinki 1952, Melbourne 1956 , Tokyo 1964 & Moscow in 1980 . India won Silver at 1960 Rome Games & Bronze each at 1968 Mexico City & 1972 Munich Olympic Games.

Interestingly, Major Dhyan Chand represented Indian in 928,1932 & 1936 Games while Balbir Singh Senior was part of the team in 1948,1952 & 1956 Olympic Games. Congrats Team India.
