Noted Aussie cricketer & IPL celebrity Andrew Tye has left off the current season of IPL midway following his outburst relating to the growing menace of Covid19 & its aftermath in the country saying ‘while the country is sans medicines and adequate supply of other parapharnelia,the IPL big-wigs have been engaged in minting money’.Winner of the 2018 IPL Purple Cap, Australian Andrew Tye was bought by Rajasthan Royals for INR 1 crore and was retained ahead of the IPL 2021.Despite being a late bloomer, Tye was ‘find of the tournament in 2014 & was included in the Aussie T20 team later.Making his debut for Chennai Super Kings,in the IPL, Tye was also part of the Gujarat Lions and Kings XI Punjab .The right-arm fast bowler has secured 40 IPL wickets in 27 matches.

Tye ,one of the top bowlers in Perth Scorchers,made his ODI debut for Australia in 2018 against England and is considerd a cunning opponent in the shortest format of the game.
Tye took 5-wickets( 5/17) haul on his IPL debut for Gujarat Lions including a hat-trick in 2017. In 2018, he became a Purple Cap holder claiming 24 wickets in 14 innings for Kings XI Punjab.
